How is ________ piercing done? Do you use a piercing gun?

All piercings are performed with sterile, single-use needles. No piercing guns or piercing devices are ever used.

Can I bring my own jewelry?

Initial piercings must be performed with jewelry that is purchased in the studio. Golden Laurel Piercing is proud to offer the safest piercings possible, and the quality of outside products cannot be guaranteed. You can bring your own jewelry for insertion into a healed piercing, though we still cannot guarantee quality and hold the right to refuse service at any time if we feel the jewelry is not appropriate for wear.

So, what jewelry is used?

All jewelry carried at Golden Laurel Piercing is implant-grade titanium, steel, niobium, or 14kt or 18kt solid, nickel-free gold. You can learn more about what jewelry is considered safe for initial piercings from the Association of Professional Piercers and their Body Jewelry Verification Program.

What will it cost?

Pricing can vary widely based on jewelry selection, but most single piercings will start at $60-$80 total with basic jewelry.

Can I go swimming while healing a piercing?

It is recommended to avoid swimming for the duration of the healing process. When an open wound is submerged in water, any dirt, bacteria, or other contaminants are at risk of finding their way into the wound – in this case, your piercing.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes, you are welcome to bring anyone you want to have there for you.

Can I bring my child to my appointment?

We have no problem with well-behaved children being in the studio. Children in the piercing room need to be able to follow directions for safety reasons – contact with certain areas of the shop can be dangerous to your child, and contact with piercers or clients while services are being performed can put your child, you, and the piercer in danger.
